Sustainable City Awards Winners!
Anna, Zoe, Clive, Mark & Phil receive the award from Lord Smith
We are delighted to say that once again we have been crowned winners of one of the most prestigious sustainability awards in London, winning the category for Environmental Management in SMEs (Small & medium-sized enterprises).
This follows on from winning the Sustainable Food category in 2009 – a category for which we were also shortlisted this year.
The award is recognition for the all-encompassing approach we take to sustainability, from staff training, supplier & product selection and waste management though to customer communication & awareness.
Simon Mills, Head of Sustainable Development at the City of London Corporation commented, “Despite these being hard times for businesses, we have seen unprecedented numbers coming forward for recognition in this years awards.
Vacherin were commended for proving that environmental performance and business growth can go hand in hand – continuing to grow, while investing in staff training and engagement, supply chain and environmental management.”
