Only at Vacherin

Last week, 16 of our incredible chefs and front-of-house team stepped inside the iconic world of Harrods for an immersive culinary tour -  made all the better with the store in full festive mode.

Guided by Denis Marcone from Guest Relations, Victoria Rolle from Restaurant Events, and Exec Sous Chef Faye Morris, our team was given a rare opportunity to step behind the scenes by the people who run these exceptional spaces every day, taking in what defines the Harrods food experience.

First stop was The Grill on Fifth, where Senior Head Chefs Mikey Seferynski and Daniel Patterson showcased their passion and precision. Sharing their insights into their sourcing, techniques, and menu philosophy.

Moving into the Dining Hall, the team begin a series of tastings. A highlight was the visit to Kinoya Ramen & Sushi, where Cristina and Theo from the Kinoya team talked the through the offer and the approach behind the dishes.

Back at the Grill, Mikey and Daniel got into the detail of the concept’s culinary identity, sharing the thinking behind the menu and the standards that keep the offer exceptional.

From there, the team moved onto the sweetest stop of the day, a behind-the-scenes look inside the Chocolate & Bakery Hall. Senior Head Chef Alistair Birt and Executive Pastry Chef Markus Bohr opened their production kitchen, giving our chefs an up-close taste of festive patisserie and artisan baking in action.

The finale? A beautiful lineup of desserts served upstairs at The Georgian, bringing the day to a perfect close.

The tour wasn’t just about food. At Vacherin, we believe food fuels connection. It’s why we obsess over detail, champion bold talent, and create opportunities like this for our teams to grow and be inspired. Because excellence is never an accident, it’s the product of curiosity, craft and collaboration.
