Last Friday, saw us kick off our Vacherin Barista Academy at the La Marzocco centre for certificated training - and what a day it was!
Nine brilliant baristas from across our sites came together for an interactive training session led by our Head of Coffee, Marc-Pierre Dietrich. Our baristas got hands-on, mastering the step-by-step process for a perfect espresso. They also took a deep dive into texturing, volumising, and latte art skills - learning all the secrets to consistency in great coffee and mastering the milk for everything from a classic 'rosetta' to that perfect cappuccino finish.
Our Barista Academy is all about building a next-level coffee culture. Empowering each and every one of our baristas, tapping into their passion for coffee and taking it to the next level - giving them the skills and confidence to really own their craft.
And this is just the beginning! We've already had some brilliant feedback from the team, and the energy is only growing. As our Head of Coffee, Marc, put it: "It's been a privilege to take our colleagues through these modules as part of our training and support for our Baristas' coffee journey, very much part of pursuing our particular ambitions for coffee culture... 'better than the high street!'"
